Points of Interest: St Helens

Located in the wonderful North West county of Merseyside, St Helens is a stunning town with a unique and varied history. Owing its later development to a boom in the glassmaking and coal mining industries, this large town didn’t even exist formally until the mid-18th century! Following the industrial revolution, the lovely St Helen’s we know today grew out of a small collection of houses; humble beginnings, indeed.

Visitors to the town can see and sample that history for themselves with some of the excellent attractions and sights on offer. The World of Glass is a homage and learning opportunity to the glassmaking industry that helped shaped the town, with more nature-oriented visitors able to enjoy the Carr Mill Dam and the spectacular Taylor and Inglenook Farms. Those seeking a little excitement are well served by the renowned Theatre Royal and favourite bars such as the Citadel.

A wonderful town with a unique and distinct history and one Everyday Loans is proud to now be a part of with the opening of our St Helens branch!
